The 33 ft diameter steel sheet piling cell will act as stay in place formwork for the tremie filled concrete. A Thermal Analysis will be required for approval prior to the placement of concrete. If construction is to take place during the navigation season a helper boat will also be required. Demolition will include the existing gage house, concrete along the existing tie-back wall, and a 2 ft thick underwater concrete scour apron and riprap. Concrete repair includes vertical surfaces repairs long a downstream wingwall. In addition, an underwater 2 ft thick concrete scour protection apron and riprap will be placed.
