It does not commit the Government to award a contract or post a solicitation in the future. The Government intends to post a solicitation within 7-10 days of publishing this notice.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to supply two (2) outboard motors, between 115 and 140 HP each, installed on the MVP Dive Team work flat, with controls installed at the helm/console, 40 ft from the motors.

The outboard motors shall be 115-140 HP outboard meeting or exceeding the following:

• 115-140 horsepower


• 4 stroke EFI


• Electric start


• Multiple engine control, multiple steering rod (can use existing hydraulic steering)


• Control length need to be 40 feet to reach helm/console from motors.


• Power trim with gauges


• Props


• 10 feet gas line


• Emergency stop switch/ignition


• Low oil warning device


• Overheat warning device


• Mounting hardware


• Manufacturer’s warranty


• Operating Hour meter (may be aftermarket)

Outboard Motors must be of a brand with a manufacturer Authorized Service Center located within 50 miles of Fountain City, WI 54629.

Flat is located in the water, behind upper guidewall at LD6. Install will need to happen in water at current location, or vessel could be towed to location nearby. Delivery and install shall be complete no later than 27 May 2023.

Contractor will accept as trade-in two (2) Evinrude 130 HP ETECS – Model #E130DCXINA, SN 05349153 and 05338394, production dates 04/2015 and 01/2012. Motors are identical, except one is counter-rotating. Number of operating hours is unknown. No maintenance records are available. Both motors run but need extensive work to the lower gear cases. Motors are in Lock 5A warehouse near Fountain City, WI. They cannot be run, but may be viewed by appointment.
