The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Bureau of Traffic Operations (BTO) is seeking a qualified Vendor to develop a Next Generation 511 Wisconsin Traveler Information system. As a bureau within WisDOT, BTO provides traffic engineering and traffic management services for highway improvement program delivery and facilitates transportation operations, public safety, and emergency preparedness and response on Wisconsin’s roadway system. In an effort to achieve BTO’s vision of “integrated multistate regional transportation operations systems and services”, the STOC uses advanced electronic and communication technologies to monitor traffic conditions and keep motorists informed of real-time weather and road conditions within the state and across the Midwest region.
