The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capabilities to remove a Lab vent hood assembly and install the new Lab vent hood assembly located at Tomah VAMC located in Tomah, WI.

This project is to replace the Lab Vent Hood in Building 400 Room 2055. A new hood has been purchased and is in storage at the VA.

Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor and equipment to remove the existing Lab Vent Hood Assembly and install the new Lab Vent Hood Assembly. Assembly includes Labconco Products, Vent Hood and Stand (302481101), Canopy Kit (3889201), and Air Damper (3776800). Work will include the disconnecting and reconnecting of the existing venting (HVAC) and electrical. Contractor to review site location and all components before project starts to assure this can be a 1 day swap out.
New Vent Hood and accessories will be in staging area adjacent to Room 2055 before project begins. Contractor to move old Vent Hood to staging area adjacent to room 2055 when removed. VA staff will move to and from warehouse.
Work timing will need to be coordinated with a 3rd party who will be decontaminating the existing hood before it can be removed and who also will be testing, certifying, and calibrating the new hood after completion.
ICRA barrier will be needed as this is a Lab Area. Contractor will supply, install, and remove ICRA materials.
All work shall be completed within 45 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. Date of work will need to be coordinated with other work being done in the lab area.
The C&A Requirements do not apply, a security Accreditation Package is not required.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220.

All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by Monday, February 23, 2024 to Romell.Parrott@va.gov to include the following:

Company Experience in providing maintenance and repair services to referenced equipment, to include number of years and any examples of current contracts in place with government or commercial entities;
Customer point of contact information for contracts listed in company experience along with a description of equipment serviced under the contract;
Verification of authorization and training related to servicing referenced equipment;
Number of qualified maintenance personnel employed;
DUNS number, organization name, organization address, point of contact, business size under NAICS 238220, and socioeconomic status.
