Bid Synopsis:
|
The State of Wisconsin, Consolidated Agency Purchasing Services (CAPS) on behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, provides interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a bid for the supervised assessment for 2024 for the Town of Georgetown, Polk County.
Sec. 70.75, Wis. Stats., permits owners of five percent or more of the assessed valuation of all property in a taxation district to file a written complaint with the Department of Revenue. The basis of the complaint must be that the assessment of property in the taxation district is not in substantial compliance with the law and that the interest of the public will be promoted by a reassessment or supervised assessment of subsequent assessments. On October 10, 2023, the Department responded to a complaint in the Town of Georgetown, Polk County, by ordering a supervision of the 2024 assessments pursuant to sec. 70.75(3), Wis. Stats.
