Bid Synopsis:
|
Spray and Disc Trench: A total of 199 acres will be treated. The herbicide treatments may occur anytime during the growing season after all the contracting requirements are in place. This timeframe is typically mid-June to mid-September. Disc trenching shall be completed at the time of spraying or prior to frost in the ground, depending on the treatment method. The contractor has the option to trench and spray separately in two passes or concurrently in one pass on all sites. A tank mix of Glyphosate (2 lb active per acre), Chopper Gen2 (18 oz. per acre) and Oust XP (1 oz. per acre), or equivalent substitutes approved by the Department, will be applied. Mechanical site preparation shall be accomplished with a power disc trencher. Such trencher shall be of the TTS configuration or be a similar piece of equipment approved by the Department. The width between adjacent trenched rows shall be eight (8) feet on center.
SITE DESCRIPTIONS
Spray and Trench
Site 1-24 and 3-24 are typical clearcuts that have been recently harvested with stumps and slash present.
Site 2-24 is a failed planting that was trenched and sprayed in 2019. Site 4-24 was overrun by Buckthorn after a past clearcut. This site was mowed in 2023.
