Title: Rush Creek SNA habitat Work

Bid Synopsis: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is requesting bids for habitat work at the Rush Creek State Natural Area (SNA) in Crawford County. There are five project at Rush Creek that will be awarded separately. You may bid on one or all of the projects.

1.        Campbell Cedars – Cedars and Brush work
2.        North Unit Ridge Top Openings
3.        Rush Creek S1 Woodland
4.        Rush Creek S1 Prairie and Brushline
5.        Rush Creek S2 Prairie and Brushline

The work is to be completed by August 15, 2024 and involves cutting brush and trees and stump treating them with herbicide. Follow up foliar treatment is required in this contract. Killing (no leaves/resprouts emerging by assessment date) of target species must be 90% or greater and will be assessed on approximately August 15th, 2024. If treatment was not successful, this would allow approximately one month for retreatment prior to senescence (September 15, 2024 due date). Assessment of herbicide kill can be made by the DNR Project/Property manager AND the contractor to see what percentage wasn’t killed and if a return visit for follow up work is needed.
