Milwaukee County invites responses to this RFP from qualified Offerors with significant experience in the design, installation, setup, and ongoing support and maintenance of a best-in-class all-in-one SaaS Zoo Management System software solution interested in supplying their proposed solution to the Milwaukee County Zoo. “All-in-one” means that the following modules or tools are available either in a single software solution or in multiple integrated or interfaced solutions: Ticketing & Admissions, Registrations & Event Management, CRM & Communications, Point-of-Sale, Financial Management (AP/AR), Inventory Management, Reporting & Analytics, Gift Cards & Loyalty Programs, Donations & Membership Management.
The County prefers SaaS solutions in line with its overall information technology posture and roadmap. However, we may consider on-premise solutions if those solutions demonstrate greater functionality and/or cost savings.
The County intends to award a three (3) year contract with up to three (3) optional one (1) year renewals to the winning Offeror(s) under this solicitation. The County has an estimated budget of $1,938,767.00 in approved ARPA funds for this effort, of which $1,762,515 is dedicated to software, hardware, and implementation services.

The computer and it's accessories together provide a platform to enable user computing. A computer is a device that accepts information (in the form of digital data) and manipulates it for some result based on a program or sequence of instructions on how data is to be processed. Complex computers also include the means for storing data (including the program, which is also a form of data) for some necessary duration. A program may be invariable and built into the computer (and called logic circuitry as it is on microprocessors) or different programs may be provided to the computer (loaded into its storage and then started by an administrator or user). Today's computers have both kinds of programming.

Point of sale POS terminal:
A point-of-sale (POS) terminal is a computerized replacement for a cash register. Much more complex than the cash registers, the POS system can include the ability to record and track customer orders, process credit and debit cards, connect to other systems in a network, and manage inventory. Generally, a POS terminal has as its core a personal computer, which is provided with application-specific programs and I/O devices for the particular environment in which it will serve. A POS system for a restaurant, for example, is likely to have all menu items stored in a database. POS terminals are used in most industries that have a point of sale such as a service desk, including restaurants, lodging, entertainment, and museums. POS terminals are also Web-enabled, which makes remote training and operation possible, as well as inventory tracking across geographically-dispersed locations.
