The Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services-Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) is releasing a Request for Proposal on Friday, June 9, 2023, seeking proposals from community agencies interested in developing and implementing a Peer Specialist Academy for individuals seeking to become Certified Peer Specialists in keeping with the State-approved Peer Specialist certification requirements. The purposes of the Academy are to: increase the availability of Peer Specialists in Milwaukee County; support individuals seeking certification and employment as Certified Peer Specialists; and support employers seeking to hire peer specialists.
